Porcelain Fused to Metal Crowns and Bridges

In the posterior dentition, most of the times esthetics and function can be fully restored with porcelain fused to metal restorations. They do not offer the esthetics of the all ceramic restorations but they are a very well tested restoration with a longevity of at least 10 - 15 years. An alternative for the posterior teeth and the long span anterior bridges is the Zirconium crown and bridge work where there is no metal.
